Medical massage is outcome-based massage; primarily the applications of a specific treatment targeted to the specific problem(s) the patient presents with a diagnosis and are administered after an assessment/evaluation by the medical massage therapist with specific outcomes being the basis for treatment. There is no one technique that is medical massage. It is taking whatever style of massage the practitioner does or knows and applying that technique to various conditions… having administered over 17,000 massages in my 18 years I have found that what works with one person may be counterproductive with another, therefore, my approach is tailor to each person, with a mindful intent and purpose, “our goal” will be helping you to return to an active lifestyle.
